Q. Is there a mobile version of DuxWare?
A.
DuxWare runs in a web browser. If your device supports a full featured web browser then yes. For older, less sophisticated devices, DuxWare Mobile allows providers to access their Schedule and Demographics.
Please see DuxWare Mobile.
Q. What are Best Practice tips?
A.
When you see this icon, the text next to it makes Best Practice Suggestions. |
Q. Is DuxWare HIPPA Compliant?
A.
Yes. We have a HIPPA compliance officer on staff to ensure we stay up with the latest requirements.
Q. Is DuxWare Server Based or Web Based?
A.
DuxWare is a web based program in which we host the database at our data center. In rare occasions we can provide a practice with a localized server if they wish.
Q. Is DuxWare website a secured website?
A.
Yes. We use 256 bit encryption and updated SSL certificates.
Q. How is DuxWare priced?
A.
DuxWare is usually priced based on the number of providers in a practice. There is a small setup fee along with a monthly support fee based on the number of providers. We do not charge seat licenses or individual user licenses. You can also have as many locations as you wish.
Q. Is DuxWare Support exported or US based?
A.
DuxWare support is US based and is live support. In fact when you call our office you will normally get a support person answering you call. That support person can usually handle any issues you may be having. In the rare case where we need to get programming involved you will be given an idea of the time frame we anticipate the issue will be resolved.
Q. Does DuxWare have electronic eligibility?
A.
Yes. We can automatically collect the patient eligibility information the night before from you schedule (the patient will have to have correct demographics and insurance information) and load it into the patient record. You can also do an instant eligibility check once you get all of the necessary patient information into our system. This is handy for walk-ins.
Q. How is DuxWare training handled?
A.
If a practice is within and 1 1/2 hours of our home office, we request they come to our office for training. If a practice if farther away, we offer web-training. Both of these training types are included in our nominal setup fee. If a practice wishes to have live training at their office then there is some additional expenses to cover travel costs.
Q. Will DuxWare train new office staff?
A.
Normally, practices do not contact us to train new office staff. The reason is because DuxWare is so easy to use and their current staff usually can train any new employees. There would be a small fee in the case that you would want us to train or re-train an employee/staff.
Q. Are there different levels of access to our database?
A.
Yes. You can control what parts of DuxWare can be accessed by your staff. The most common level is 3, which is usually front desk and non-billing personnel. Level 4 is normally billing and level 5 is office management.
Q. Can I access DuxWare from outside the office?
A.
Yes. You can access DuxWare as long as you are connected to the internet. This includes smartphones and tablets.
Q. Does DuxWare interface with EHR's or Labs?
A.
Yes DuxWare can interface with EHR's and labs via an industry standard HL7 bridge. The depth of the integration will depend on the EHR/Lab company.
Q. Is there a fee for bridging with EHR's or Labs?
A.
DuxWare does not charge for bridging with EHR's but the EHR may have a fee. There is a small fee to bridge with Labs and to maintain the bridge. This is due to the nature of the connection with the labs.
Q. Who does the data belong to?
A.
The data belongs to the provider. The provider can download information via DuxWare if they choose. There is a small fee to generate a file for a practice if there is a need for a more in-depth copy of the database. This copy would include all transactions, history and any other information that might be needed. It would be provided in either a CSV format or a searchable PDF format.
Q. Will DuxWare develop special reports for me?
A.
We can develop special reports if needed. There could be a small fee if the report is something that only your practice would ever use. There wouldn't be a fee if it is a report that all of our practices could use. Time frame on custom reports vary and is based on available assets to develop the report.
Q. Will I have to pay for the new version of DuxWare when it is released?
A.
No. You will always be on the latest version of DuxWare. We do updates every two weeks or so and you will never be asked to pay for the newest version. You will be sent release notes if an update changes the way you will do something in DuxWare.
